Be honest with you, I never thought about when I was playing in one day that I was going to be in a Hall of Fame.

I played the game because I love it.

I played the game because I want to win.

I played the game because I want to help my team win.

I never thought about a Hall of Fame one bit.

You know, obviously when you retire, people start telling you, hey, you had a Hall of Fame career.

You got a chance to be a Hall of Fame, but I never went and put my shoes on.

I thought about...

hall of fame.

Um, you know, you know, so many guys before you that, that opened that door and, and, and have that stage.

I talked with, with Hank Aaron a lot, a lot of times when Bobby was like, Hey, go talk with Hank because you're not doing good or something.

So I go talk with Hank.

When I go talk to Hank, he don't talk baseball with me.

He talked about how's your family.

Uh, you know, make sure you take your family, take care of this, take care of that.

You know, make sure you're doing the right thing.

He never talked about baseball with me, you know, because he knows you have the talent, but he's trying to get your head out of the baseball part and relax you, you know, in his own way that he knows about it.
