These are the guys that are going out there every week and there's lots of pressure on them.
The guys that are at that level that aren't recognized externally as the leaders, you know, so important.
I mean, look, a guy like Jared Roughhead Hawthorne was enormous in that space.
You know, his ability to get that forward line to gel.
Right.
I was talking to Tommy Lonegan when he came to Carlton and he said, gee, you know, we really struggled playing against Hawthorne's forward line because we just never knew what they were going to do.
That must have been so well structured.
And I said to him, you know, I talked to Ruffy about this and we actually had a bit of a laugh because their line meetings would be going to the cafe, having a chat, having a coffee.
and saying, boys, let's go out there and have fun tomorrow.
Now, I'm not saying they didn't have structure, but they had such a good connection that they didn't know what they were going to do exactly on game day.
It takes me to โ there was a study done by Harvard, and it's a study done over 80 years of well-being.
And it says the quality of relationships is the single greatest predictor of health and longevity in people's lives.
So over and above everything else we've talked about.
So how powerful is that?
And so we look at things like to stay connected with people.
presence over product.
Just be present with people and spend time.
And sometimes you don't need to do anything other than just be with them and just see what comes without having to force it.
sharing meals together, sharing meals together.
It's one of the things we talked about at the footy club is the ability to share a meal together and how powerful and how simple that is.
