I mean, there is no doubt.
You know, if you go to Thomas Jefferson's house, I was standing in his library.
Yeah, yeah, big fan of France.
But big fan of ancient Egypt and Greece.
And a huge fan.
And he's got books on ancient Egypt and Greece.
The bed that he died in, his clock that sat above him was like two Egyptian obelisks.
Yeah, and by aligning yourself with those things, you are aspiring to be something that is higher and older than you are, right?
You're aspiring to almost like an unachievable goal, but by doing thatβ You might get close.
Yeah, you might get close.
And so I think a lot of the founding fathers were really inspired by antiquity.
Obviously, they're culturally inspired by the contemporary French.
But am I wrong in saying that the United States might be a much more successful attempt at this absolute freedom?
Maybe I'm wrong.
I don't know much about the French Revolution.
Neither do I, but...
