But my play, Reefer Madness, took off.

I saw that.

Nice.

But when Reefer Madness took off, that literally was my film school.

People saw Reefer Madness, we took it to New York, and then Showtime bought it and turned it into a musical.

And so I ended up, when people are like, dude, you're doing like 99-seat theater equity waiver movies.

This is never going to help your career.

That one show changed everything for me.

Well, Reefer Madness, by the time Showtime did it, we ended up opening for Sundance, and we helped win the Deauville Film Festival, got an Emmy.

And then from there, about three months after Sundance, I was directing Amanda Bynes and Channing Tatum in She's the Man.

You start spreading out.

Developing a project called Solstice.

Now, how does that work?

Well, you know.

I have a first-look deal with Disney, so I go to Disney and say, is this something you want?

Solstice is a hardcore sort of paranormal thriller.
