Meanwhile, in the background, Meta's chief AI scientist, Yann LeCun, who's one of the godfathers in many respects of AI, he's been a stable force there, but he's left Meta.

And he's starting his own company, which is going to be focused on world models.

Now, world models are really the next thing.

And so meta isn't uniquely focused on world models.

They're focused on super intelligence.

But super intelligence will require spatial intelligence, which takes the current crop of AIs beyond reading and writing skills based on an enormous corpus of human knowledge.

and takes it to the point where there's understanding and reasoning based on causality and physics and everything else that we learn naturally as humans, as we develop.

Now, they're not the first, well, Yann LeCun's not the first to say, okay, I'm going to leave a company and go out and work on world models.
