We don't know how many billion dollars because it's a private company and they're not revealing what their funding rounds are doing right now.

But there are other players, Google DeepMind,

has a family of world models called the Genie family.

And they can generate diverse, interactive, simulated environments and train agents using their understanding of the real world.

So they have a model called Veo, which you've heard of.

which integrates a deep grasp of physics to do video generation at the cutting edge state of the art and that's one of the ways that world model development will be advancing but the biggest place where it has application is in the world of coming embodied ai which is robotics and there's lots of investment in play at work here in the world of ai

to develop AI for embodied humanoid robots as well as other robots so that those robots understand what it's really like to operate in the reality that we live in.

By the way, in addition to Google DeepMind and World Labs, NVIDIA is a big player in this space.

So NVIDIA has the Spatial Intelligence Lab.

And so there's a bunch of major, major companies that are doing this.

But one of the leaders, Yann LeCun, has just left Meta.

left Zook high and dry without, well, actually, he got kind of quasi-replaced by the fellow they brought in, the 28-year-old guy who, you know, was the head of scale, I think.

Scale, yes, yes.

Yeah.

So anyway, he's the leader of the new super intelligence lab.

And I don't think Yann LeCun, who's probably in his 50s or 40s, if he's younger than I imagine, but he's been around for a long time.

And I don't think he's quite that compatible with the young Turks that have come into Meta to lead the charge towards super intelligence.
