Of course, it would be so traumatic for them to be moved again.
And there was no real reason.
It was just a process issue.
So, yeah, we began this really horrific few months of just waiting for this knock at the door.
Yeah, they did.
They came with us.
There's kind of three different appointments you have to go to at the court and they came with us and...
And the one that's the very long, the hearing is a very long court process that they came in, they met the judge.
What were they wearing for this?
Oh, they, we had dressed them up in this, you know, the Tanzanian men at the time wore these shiny suits that were amazing.
And so we had these tiny shiny suits made and Shay had this beautiful twirly dress.
And so they looked incredible and they came into court and met the judge and then they just had to sit silently and
for the next few hours, which is what was expected of Tanzanian children.
And so they sat on these hard wooden chairs and the entire process was in Swahili and Mark and I could follow along, but, you know, the kids were so little.
And so pretty soon we started to hear this little snoring sound.
LAUGHTER
She probably had fallen asleep and started snoring.
And then the judge heard his snoring and said, why don't we have a recess and you can take them home, which I was very thankful for.
What manner did the judge have with you and Mark?
She was beautiful.
