She was the daughter-in-law of President Nyerere, who was so revered in Tanzania.

So to have her preside over this court case was incredible.

And she had Babumbi become, tell the entire story.

She had our social worker.

She had our lawyer.

And she really listened to the story beautifully and then gave her blessing and granted the adoption through the High Court of Tanzania.

What was the emotion like in that moment?

Oh, my word.

It was the most incredible relief just to know it was done and with the blessing of all of the people involved.

The kids really had no clue.

We were just trying to... We gave them cake and ice cream so that they would be excited as well.

But they were finally...

They finally had a home forever.

They had their forever home and they knew that they would be in a family for life and that was, it was just brilliant.

Yes.

So Mark surprised me with an opportunity to climb Kilimanjaro.

So we'd been looking at this mountain and it had been this important part of our story because for some reason, every time Mark went up a mountain, something happened in our adoption process.

And it seemed

so unlikely and yet it's happened every time.
