Because he would go up with students.
He had climbed, yeah.
He was taking students on a process where they'd climb a little higher each time and he got to summit Kilimanjaro, which was incredible.
And it was enough for me just to look at it every day.
It was extraordinary.
But then Mark had arranged...
to surprise me with my brother flying over from Australia to climb it with me.
And so he and I got to climb the mountain and just stand on the summit of that mountain knowing our adoption was done.
And it was pure magic.
I took up a photo of the kids and a Bible verse that was important to us on the back.
And so I just left that on the summit, a little memento of what had happened in the shadow of this mountain, now standing at the top, completing it all.
And so I just put it under a rock there and left a little photo of them at the top.
It was complete culture shock.
The reverse culture shock was intense.
It was much more intense coming back than it was moving there because we'd been in Tanzania for so long and everything was loud and shiny and bright and so exciting because we were home with our family all together.
But it was a hard adjustment coming home.
Yeah, I had a day where I was like, I'm just, I'd fallen asleep on the lounge, which I never do.
And I thought, I'm never tired.
And then I thought,
Oh, yes, I am.
