There was slight tumour progression and we decided that we weren't really getting where we wanted to get in Australia.
We took Damien's medical care over to a clinic in Thailand.
So they were doing metabolic therapies, which is essentially starving the tumour.
And so everything was going fine.
He was actually responding really well.
His movement was starting to come back on his left side.
But then unfortunately, he got an infection in his PICC line, which is basically a line that they put in to give IVs and medications.
And from that point, it was just, it was downhill.
His body was trying to fight off this infection.
It was maybe caught a couple of days later than it...
was necessary.
And the day that we ended up going into hospital in Thailand, I woke up, I went into the room, Damon looked at me and he said, I'm sorry, I love you.
And I, I just, I broke down in that moment.
I was like, something's seriously wrong.
And I think he's going to die.
And so we went in the ambulance to the hospital and I've seen a million MRIs on his brain.
to know that I was, like, spying through the door to look at the MRI.
And I saw this MRI and I was like, holy shit, like, this is really bad.
