We've got support workers.
He goes to the pool.
He is cognitively there the same way that he used to be there.
Like, it's crazy to think that.
I mean, it depends on who you are.
But that moment was like, you know, we could go two ways.
And I felt like, again, playing God, like I have a decision to make here.
Like I'm going to push, push, push for this person or I'm going to let them go.
And all I needed was that, yes, we're fighting from Damien to go like, right, we're doing this.
And it was just all system go from that point.
Yeah, absolutely.
And I think my approach is very different.
And now after being a practitioner for over a decade and understanding everything that I do now, I think there is a time to be in your emotions and to feel and unpack things.
And there is a time to
create a bit of space and distance.
So that externalization of just day-to-day life is really important right now, especially when Damien was in hospital.
It was just the momentary noticing of what's happening in my external world.
So for example, I was having a big panic attack one day on the roof of the hospital and this butterfly landed in front of me.
