So you start out maybe with just like our invisible biases, right?
We think men, even deep down inside, internalized misogyny is a real thing.
So even women sometimes think that men are more credible, especially in our case in tech and other STEM fields.
Then you go to the people in charge.
Then you go to the data that's being compared and contrasted with 30 years of hiring data, which is going to be predominantly skewed toward white males.
So it just it goes on and on and on.
And this is why I'm in crash out mode, because it's like.
It feels some days like, what is the point of trying to do a damn thing to make it better?
We are drops in a bucket.
We are angel tears, whiffs of drops in a bucket.
It feels as though there's nothing we can do.
For the people who give a shit in the crowd, I did post on LinkedIn and TikTok five examples of things that can be done.
One is to sign a petition at change.org.
You can't not find it there.
Go to change.org, put in LinkedIn.
It's going to pop up.
It's really important because this will all contribute either to the really positive trend that we're seeing with consumers putting pressure on companies and companies doing something about the things that they're doing right in public before our very eyes.
