Uh, you know, as I said before, I, I, uh, helped out at a high school, my nephew's high school, the kids, they brought the joy out of me again.
Um, you know, and they kept asking me if I was going to play, I was going to play.
And it was just like, yeah, like,
You know, if I get an opportunity, I'll take it.
You know, just wasn't really, you know, hoping for much, really, just because of the season I just had.
You know, as you know, in this game, you know, everybody's looking for the next talent, you know, and everybody's looking for consistency.
So, you know, given the fact that I didn't really do much that season, that past season, I didn't think I was going to get an opportunity.
So, you know, fast forward.
um, through all the ups and downs and, and all like, uh, I'm glad I kept going, you know?
Yeah.
Yeah.
Uh, the decision was going to be made if I didn't get an opportunity before spring training started, I was, I was, that was it.
I was done.
Um, and we did one last thing at treads, uh, facility through a pro showcase over there and, uh, got a lot of traction there.
Um, not, nothing really after that week or two goes by, nothing really, it's all quiet.
And then finally you get an opportunity with the guardians.
Um, and you know, I just, I just told myself, I was like, look, man, like can't have a season you just had.
you're going to get your ass kicked you might as well have fun with it you know and so I went into it with such a great mindset where I was just having a lot of fun getting to know the guys getting to know the staff getting to know the organization it was another opportunity for me to learn and I was ready for it you know in the sense of like you know just I was just wanting to have fun I wanted to laugh I wanted to enjoy myself I didn't want to put too much stress about you know making a ball club or anything and
majority of guys that are on the cusp of the AAA big leagues, they put a lot of, at least I did, to make the big league club out of camp.
And typically that takes a lot of joy out of it.
