After the first one we won last year, um,

I remember having a conversation with my dad.

He was emotional.

He was crying, but he was very emotional.

And he's not an emotional person.

He doesn't show a whole lot of emotion.

But, you know, he does let us know when he's proud.

And, you know, I remember him telling me that, you know, you didn't give up.

Like, you never gave up.

And I wanted it so bad to tell him.

Like, I almost did.

Well, he knew.

He knew in the sense of like where I was at mentally, you know.

And so it was something special where it was like, man, like those are the moments where I'm like, I didn't fight.

If it wasn't for those kids, if it wasn't for that bullpen, if it wasn't for the opportunity the Guardians gave me, if it wasn't the chance that the Dodgers traded for me and gave me the opportunity, it wasn't for, you know, there's so many different things going down the line, meeting Conor McGinnis,

The guys taking me in right away and making me feel comfortable, all this stuff, I wouldn't have experienced any of this.

Isn't that incredible?
