So there was a lot of good things that John Tortorella brought.

But in saying that,

He took like making John Tortorella the face of your franchise was probably the worst thing you could do for an ego that big.

And I heard stories about him that he plays off that he doesn't look at the media.

He does.

He has burner accounts.

He has all that.

You know, he would know strategically when to bench a player.

Like it was said to me once, like, do you think it's a coincidence that he benched Matt Bay Mitchkov during a TNT game on a Wednesday night and put him in the middle of the bench?

Like John Tortorella, like he, like he was very calculated in what he did.

You remember that they traded Sean Couturier or traded, they named them captain in Toronto, like hours before the game or the night before the game.

And from all accounts, that was a John Tortorella decision.

And then apparently the game, the day after they're just like, it was a mistake.

Coots is garbage, blah, blah, blah.

And they went on the bench on several times down the stretch, less than a month after being named captain.

So yeah,

Then you look at his, his run in Vegas.

And I think that's probably the perfect scenario for John Tortorella to work like a two, three month run, a team that by all accounts hated Bruce Cassidy.

And as it was described to me, like he probably didn't change a lot of the X's and O's.
