It was kind of funny.

Um, yeah, so in Philly, you know, he came in at a very, very, very bad time for the flyers.

Like the Chuck Fletcher, the end of the Chuck Fletcher era and Dave Scott was basically playing the Keith Pally role for the flyers.

was just, it was a very dark time.

There was a very dark time.

And they brought in John Tortorella to offend, essentially be the face of the franchise.

And I will say this, he needed to come in because it was a country club type of atmosphere in Philly from everything I understood with the Claude Girouxs and the Jake Borcheks, like that hilarious, the Kevin Hayes.

And I think the first year and a half to two years, he was exactly what they needed.

just like he was all about like commitment, standard, working hard, even though you're a bad team, like staying in games.

You had that year in 2024 where they almost won

after trading Sean Walker at the trade deadline, who was a major part of that blue line, he really put in place a lot of good things that still hold over.

Like Travis Sennheim was a second pair defenseman at best before John Tortorella.

Travis Konechny was nowhere near a first line player before John Tortorella.

Like Owen Tippett really developed into a player that he is under John Tortorella.
