So is that somebody who then kind of makes way for somebody else who can, um, you want to have that flexibility and that ability on your 40 man, um,

like i did look ideally you got 40 amazing players who are all great and uh who are all valuable and your 40 man is just the best one in the business but that's just not realistic every team has players at the edge of their 40 man who they um are okay with dfa and who they feel will get through waivers and if they don't uh they're not feeling like they're going to regret it to a tremendous degree

So that's just it's the nature of the business.

And as much as we like, obviously, all due respect and obviously all these players are amazing and are it's an incredible accomplishment to get to this level.

But the Austin Voth's and Josh Fleming's of this world, they get it.

They understand what this is.

They I don't think that they have any illusions.

about their spot on the 40-man roster and how secure it is.

So I think it's wise that you bring that up about Dallas because he's not somebody who would fall into that category.

He's somebody who, once he's on the 40, it's locked in.

So maybe that's actually preventing his, like...

big league debut which is unfortunate for him in a whole other way you want to talk about how unfortunate these roster considerations are for players like maybe he's somebody who's already made his big league debut to this point if the Blue Jays were in a different 40 man situation that's just hey there's a CBA negotiation coming up if the

if the players want to try to change this at all.
