You can kind of tell it's Latin American.

There's something quite light about it and intriguing, but also there is a darkness to it.

And there was a darkness to him.

He was a very characterful guy, very charismatic, always a drink in his hand.

But it was like my mom, Alberto, this woman, Rossi Salinas, who's a makeup artist.

And I remember we all went to see her girlfriend do a dance show in Lima.

nine and it was you know a place where adults hang out i don't think my mom would always take me to like exhibitions and cool shows and cool stuff like that and i just thought that was like the wildest thing to do that these adults are getting together and doing this like modern expression dance thing and then talking about it afterwards i was like this is the dream yeah

Yeah.

You go and see the show and then you go for dinner afterwards and just discuss the show and discuss your ideas and discuss how it made you feel.

You know, like what we do basically.

But as a kid, I remember just sitting there and yeah, just sort of taking it in.

And I remember like a week later, Rossi and her girlfriend and Alberto around at the house and I was listening to The Eels a lot.

I don't remember that record, Beautiful Freak by The Eels.

I loved that album.

Great album.

And I was like learning all the words and I remember when we were,

So having breakfast, I put the record on and I started dancing around the table to sort of show Rossi's girlfriend that I was like in with it.

And I remember I was like using props.

I lifted a glass that was full of water and it went over everyone.
