Both my actual grandfathers died before I was born.
And I very much would have liked to at least meet my grandfather, Aubrey.
My grandfather Marshall seemed like he was pretty, pretty brutal on my dad and my, and my uncle Dave.
So maybe blessings that I didn't have to interact with him, but you know, and who knows, but I never had a grandfather.
And when I met Don Howard, it was like, oh, this is grandfather energy.
This is an elder.
This is a man who's gone through all the phases of life and accumulated wisdom and grown stronger from him.
Like I didn't even know that was possible.
Yeah, you know, it's unfortunately the trajectory and the way that our culture is, is not a lot of older people become elders.
It actually, they calcify in their beliefs and their stories and their ideas, their personality gets stuck.
They're not on the constant path of evolution and transformation.
and the path of evolution and transformation it doesn't happen automatically it happens via choice you have to continually choose to put you in the crucible of the fire of calcination burn away that which is impure so the truest form of who you are can ultimately emerge and so like the flame of an elder is so pure if they've if they've walked that path in the best way
Yeah, I can't help but notice that you brought with you a companion who's been down with you two times now to the jungle to drink and to transform and to evolve and to clean, our brother Salvador from Fit for Service.
And that whole idea of Fit for Service came from my spiritual grandfather, Don Howard, who said, in order to be of service, you have to be fit for service.
Mm-hmm.
And so the process is you become fit.
Why?
So you can flex on your fucking Instagram story.
Like, sure.
If you want, but like, that's not the point.
