The stakes were always incredibly high in his family regarding salvation.
Michael warned Moses' parents that they didn't discipline their children enough.
So they began writing Bible passages on pieces of wood and beating their children with them.
Michael often promoted violence in his sermons and he told the parents that they weren't spanking their children hard enough.
So Michael would then take the wooden paddle and spank their children for them.
He called the paddle the rod of reproof and he said it would remove the children's foolishness.
Moses's sister once made friends with a girl who was not under Michael's wing.
And when her mother found out, she saw this as potentially letting Satan into their family since the girl was seen as an outsider.
If you remember, Michael's ideology is all about isolating these people from the outside world.
So Moses's sister was beaten for an entire day because of this.
After Moses' parents' divorce, Michael also shamed his mother, calling her a contentious woman, which he often did, and claimed that she was leading her children to hell.
From then on, Moses' mom was obsessed with being back in Michael's good graces.
So if we parallel this, if we continue to remember the Yates family here, if this type of behavior Michael's taking to Moses' family, you can only imagine what is also being directed towards Andrea Yates and the relationship with her children as well.
So Moses' family would then videotape themselves and the children praising Jesus so they could send it over to Michael to prove their dedication.
And in regards to the Yates family, Moses said that Andrea Yates' eldest son Noah was actually named after Moses' oldest brother, who was also named Noah.
Plus, all the children had the same haircuts as his family, and Andrea even spoke like his mother.
They also had, like I mentioned, five children.
But the similarities didn't end there because Moses Storm recalled the time when his mother would often express to her children that if she found a way where they would all die, it would be a blessing because that would mean they were going to heaven.
And in a very disturbing admission on this docuseries at the time, Moses was jealous of the Yates children for being able to go to heaven when they did because it was instilled in him at such a young age that through Michael's teachings,
what happened to the Yates children was actually a positive outcome.
