And that element of surprise, along with the fact that it is true, the cliche is true, that as you get older, you give less fucks about all kinds of things, makes older women brilliant activists, because I don't care whose boat I rock.
When you're younger, you're worried, I don't embarrass my kids, you know, or maybe you have a job and you don't want to get into trouble in work.
If you're being vocal about something that's going to be controversial in any way, I'm at the stage where I don't give a shit.
So if I see something that needs to be called out, I'll call it out.
So I think that's one of the great advantages of being older.
We see many more older men being celebrated.
We have a whole lexicon of words to describe older men that are positive.
He's a silver fox now.
Oh, he's an elder statesman.
Oh, he's gained gravitas.
