We saw Mitchell Stark.
you know, probably most prominently in the news.
He took to Instagram stories and he said, despite the opinions and views of certain individuals with their platforms in and through the Indian media, I'm currently rehabbing and managing an injury in my shoulder and elbow of which I didn't know the extent of during the Australian summer.
These individuals have made some strong statements around the involvement in the IPL and provided heavily misinformed opinions of players, preach them as facts and claim to know my body better than me.
With that said, I do acknowledge this injury setback and timing is disruptive to the Delhi team.
And I apologize for that and to the fans for not being available for the early part of this season.
I remain committed to DC, are in continual communication, updating the team and will continue to do what I can do to be available for DC.
ASAP.
Now, we also saw Elisa Healy, Mitch Stark's wife, you know, defending her husband on Instagram as well.
You know, some comments are saying, you know, it's unfair.
How come Hayeswood Cummins, they're injured?
And she said, well, probably because he's injured, mate.
And if he can't bowl, how's he supposed to play?
So, Akash Chopra again, he said this, if Mitchell Stark is also not going to come at the start, what is Cricket Australia doing?
You didn't let Josh Hazelwood come, Pat Cummins isn't coming, and now you've held back Mitchell Stark, even though he is absolutely fit.
He's already said goodbye to T20I, so what has he done for the last two months or so?
Well, I mean, Dhoni hasn't played since fucking May, and he's been on a farm, and he's injured, so, you know.
Now he's also been critical of Lockie Ferguson for missing the first seven games of the IPL after being retained by Punjab for two crore.
It's about 400K Aussie.
He's taking a leave of absence to spend some time with his wife and his newborn baby.
