Is that going to be necessary for the salvation of America in a military theater of war?
What situation is there ever going to be where America is about to bubble under?

America needs to come out of NATO, encourage the Europeans to step forward, embrace with maturity their own needs, and then make that sell to the European peoples if that's what they think is going to be in their interest.
