Frank, this is an astonishing story, and I thought I'd seen it all.

I thought I'd seen it all last week when you were telling us how this bishop, basically this German-born bishop, just announced, as you do, I mean, he'd asked for the dispensation to retire, but he announced, fait accompli, as you do, that he had got married, or to be canonically correct, he had attempted marriage.

Because he's unable, the bishop is unable to get married.
