But Bell's star's run came to an end on February 3rd, 1889, when she was violently murdered, allegedly by Edgar Watson.

The killer shot her while she was riding her own horse, and then when she fell off, the killer shot her again.

She officially died of shotgun wounds to the neck and back, which would later be the inspiration for the 2002 song My Neck, My Back by Kia.
