Like, those guys don't have anywhere near the ability that Jeff Hoffman does to miss bats and to be an impact reliever and to help this team.

Now, let's go back to the most recent time he pitched in that game where they're up five runs, or sorry, four runs.

They're up five to one.

Jeff Hoffman comes in.

First of all, because there are people who point to John Schneider and blame him for that.

Look, there are things that you can point to with John Schneider as there are with any major league manager.

This, to me, is not one of them.

Four-run lead?

I mean, you have to trust any reliever with that.

It's a four runs.

Like, no issue there with him going to Hoffman in that spot.

My issue is with Jeff Hoffman in that instance, where it goes hip batter, that's on him.

That doesn't show up in the K-BB, but that's still on Jeff Hoffman.
