Like on Tuesday, they easily could have won that game.
And then you bring in Tyler Rogers, and for the second time all season, he allows runs.
And it's like, okay, relievers allow runs too, and that's just going to happen.

That happens, and that cost the Blue Jays a win because they hadn't created enough breathing room beforehand, and they couldn't come up with any sort of rally afterwards.
Maybe they would have gone 1-2.
Maybe they would have been three games under .500.
Now they're five games under .500.
And, you know, to your point on Pignango, it is remarkable that a guy who was in the minor leagues 10 days ago has very quickly become a pretty important part of their offense to the point that he's leaving off one day, hitting second the next day, in there against a lefty on the third day.
Like, it's a credit to Pignango, but it's also a little bit of an indictment as to where the chase offense is.
I just interpret it as, alright, they have an off day on Thursday, they want to keep this game as close as possible, they know that Varland can work a lot, and
He's their best option to keep the game close.
I think, you know, being here from a vibe standpoint, of course, I'm trying to get a read on where these players are at and talking to Scherzer before the game.
