We have to go out and take it bit by bit.
And then it's been interesting, too, observing John Schneider.
And like me, Arden, you've been in hundreds of John Schneider scrums over the years.
So I'd like to think you and I and our Sportsnet colleagues, we have a pretty good vibe on what Schneider's communicating and what โ
What stood out to me in these last couple days is he's being very calm.
And I think that along with his words where he's saying, okay, we have to just push.
It can't be on any one player.
We can't put too much pressure on ourselves.
We can't add to the anxiety and the pressure that comes with a game that already includes more than a share of it.
We have to go out there, do our job, do what we do well, and then come up to the field on Friday and try to win a game against the Angels.
And we have to be relentless, but we can't put too much pressure on ourselves to try to win five games at once.
talking to Schneider after these games is that that's the message that he's not only relaying publicly to the fans and to the media, but also to the players is, okay, we have to be relentless.
We have to hold ourselves to account.
We have to do better than this.
There's not anything to be gained from panicking.
And I don't sense that there is panic from this group.
So that's kind of my read on things as far as the vibes and what is maybe going on in that clubhouse.
