You're kind of an international man of mystery.
We'll get to that in a second with your very interesting story to how you got here.
But I want to go to the moment where you learned that you are going to be called up.
Where were you?
What was that like to hear that you were going to be going from Buffalo to the big league level?
Talking with Blue Jay lefty Adam Macko, when you're active in Detroit and then you guys get to Yankee Stadium, are you sitting there and like every time the phone rings, are you wondering if it's going to be you?
What is it like?
Because you have this, you get activated, but then you still haven't quote unquote debuted yet.
You have this kind of like purgatory in the middle time.
What was that like for you mentally at that point?
Now, wanting to touch a little bit on your heritage, correct me if I'm wrong, born in Bratislava and then moved to Ireland before immigrating to Canada.
And for those who haven't seen it or heard about it yet, the base question I would think for many people in North America, at least, is how do you get into baseball, even as a fan in Bratislava or in that area of the world?
What drew you to the game initially?
Are you still in touch with that friend at all?
Do they know where baseball has ended up taking you after you signed up because they did?
It's very cool that you end up signing up for something.
Who knows how many people have signed up
to play baseball in Eastern Europe, and now you end up making it to the big league level.
Now, obviously, your time took you to Alberta as well.
When you're there, how aware do you become of the Blue Jays in that time?
