And when he's good, it's fighting off a lot of pitches.
It's battling out a pitcher until he eventually gets a mistake.
It's going the other way a lot.
I think drawing pitchers to throw him stuff on the outside edge and then slapping it through that left side because for some reason they always seem to shift him.
But this is not something we've seen from him in a very long time.
Whether it's been at AAA or the major league level, over the last several years, he's been a very high contact hitter.
So for the most part, that gives me confidence he'll be able to find it again because of
how well he's done over his whole pro career.
But it's been a bit of a tough thing for the Blue Jay offense because he was so steady and consistent last year.
