We at least, like, better go along with Hitler right now in the moment.

Hitler ends after they show this support.

He says, either the German revolution begins tonight or we will all be dead by dawn.

All right.

So it's a rhetorical masterpiece.

He has the whole room behind him.

And now all the cards are in his favor as he goes back to negotiate once again with this triumvirate of Bavarian leaders.

Ian Kershaw, the historian, writes, quote, Hitler, with his pronounced sense of the theatrical, announced in emotional terms what was at stake.

And the crowd was his.

All right.

So the crowd starts skeptical of him.

And by the end, it is genuinely his.

So he goes back to the back room.

Carr, LaSalle, and Caesar are starting to be more persuadable because of the enthusiasm that they saw the crowd have for Hitler.

But they're still wavering.

They don't like that Hitler had come in and coerced them.

He hadn't discussed it with them.

He hadn't let them know about his plan.

He just kind of came in and bulldozed them.
