They hadn't chosen this and they didn't like that.
So he comes back, he says, you know, will you stand behind me now?
And the triumvirate voices, they're, they're tepid and obviously coerced support.
You know, all three of them say, you know, yeah, we're behind you, Hitler.
He knows it's not real.
They know it's not real, but he's hoping that it's enough that they'll at least allow it to happen.
And then Hitler makes the great mistake of the night.
He allows all three of them to leave the building under what he described as an oath of honor to follow through on the coup.
The moment they walked out of those doors, all three of them immediately contacted the government, withdrew their support for the coup, and began organizing to suppress it.
This episode is brought to you by my startup, The Classical Society.
The Classical Society is a business network that was started by me and my friend, Alex Petkus, who's the host of the Cost of Glory podcast.
And the idea is if you're going to join a professional network, if you're going to join something like a YPO or a Vistage where you're working with other people, you're engaging with them, you're seeing how you can help each other out.
Why not join a network where you align with people who have the same values as you?
So if you're a person who believes in the values of how to take over the world, believes in classical values, who believes in excellence over equality, who believes in virtue, who believes in striving and trying to be the most that you can be, then consider joining the Classical Society.
You can learn more and submit an inquiry at theclassicalsociety.com.
I hope you'll check it out.
So as those three are leaving and beginning to organize against the coup, Erich Lutendorff, remember, that is the war hero who Hitler has in mind as the kind of top leader of the new government.
He arrives at the beer hall.
And he's actually mad.
He's furious, kind of like the others, to have been summoned to the coup without having been told in advance what was happening.
