So that's where the 50 gram difference came off.
One of the weighing was 20 grams under.
One of the other weighing was 70 grams under.
Those were the two.
And later, I think Thijs Zonneveld wrote, I think, an article where he said that the races that this setup was compared to in the SDWorks statement, which is they've run with the same setup before.
Apparently, she was using a 1x in this race versus a 2x on Kent Wableham, for example.
And obviously, if you've got a 1x, that's like, what is it, 250 grams lighter than a 2x, I'm pretty sure.
That matters as well.
Maybe that's not taken into consideration there from the team.
Either way...
If the rule is that you need to be disqualified if you break this rule and UCI declares that you broke this rule, then on paper you should be disqualified.
The second thing is, like you said, I don't know if I can trust the reading of that weighing device, that weighing process.
be more transparent i couldn't find what device was used i couldn't find what margin of error that device device had it's hard to figure that out to see whether the device had a bigger margin of error than the 70 grams that is the differentiation here on the largest uh amount then but lastly i also
The fact that you wrote a one-by instead of a two-by, plus the added factor that SDWorks had specific wording in their press release pointing towards that second way being 50 grams different, the same setup being used across multiple races while it's a different setup technically.
To me, that doesn't instill confidence in giving them much benefit of the doubt either, you know?
But I'm more thinking, the last question now, is in 2026, is the 6.8 kilo rule for bicycles too old school?
Do you think it should be gender-specific, or do you think it should be proportional regardless to gender?
Because Louis Mankis also has a bigger relative system weight versus Filippo Ganna in the men's, you know?
Is there a big differentiation if that limit is 6.5?
I don't know.
