And I think that's what would have been, the problem would have been, what do people think?

Are you going to be safe navigating the world?

But little do they know, I built myself to the person that I would be able to protect myself.

I became the person that I know I needed when I was seven.

And that was enough for me to set my life up and say, this is enough.

I'm done just surviving.

It's time to live.

It's time to be myself and unapologetically myself and be surrounded by people who celebrate me, not tolerate me or have to make myself seem small in order to fit in.

Yes, it was a huge, there was a lot of therapy involved.

Because that was the big one.

It was like Moses and parting the sea.

A lot of therapy, I actually try to surround myself with like-minded individuals, people who are out and proud.

I met a couple of really amazing first responders who are women loving women or men loving men.

It doesn't matter.

Like just to see them live life, I can do the same too.
