So it kind of helped me, kind of bring me into the culture.
And my first pride event, I was 27 and I was like,
This is amazing.
And actually my first time at a drag queen show was at Key West was not when I went with Christine, but the trip beforehand.
And I'm like, this is a thing.
It's like, this is beautiful.
Everyone in here is beautiful.
They're having a great time.
Why would people not like this culture?
Why would people be so against this?
And at like the time that I was in Key West with Christine, she introduced me a couple of her friends.
I've met police officers who are also in the community, fellow drag queens that, you know, that I end up having a relationship with.
And I'm like.
These are amazing people.
And I just wish people would meet each other and not look at the things that don't matter necessarily.
Who I love and who I choose to spend the rest of my life with should not be an issue.
So I had to go through a lot of hoops and bounds and go through a lot of darkness and know that there is a light out of the end of the tunnel.
And coming from a family and a culture that's so resilient,
I'm probably one of the most resilient people you ever meet.
I believe that.
