And we don't have the best reputation, law enforcement.
There's a lot of trauma and a lot of very hard things that you go through mentally on the job that you just become...
You could become bitter.
You could become mean.
And police officers usually resort to not going to therapy, not talking about our feelings.
We shove it in and we're more inclined to use alcohol as the way to cope.
Or even, I would say it, like even cheating on your spouse.
There's a lot of that.
There's a lot of trauma bonds that happen between police officers and it could be a very toxic environment.
So I understand now seeing it, why that would be a turnoff for some people.
So I made sure that I took a picture and wanted whoever like me, whoever DMs me or whatever it is, they know what I do for a living.
So it's not as, exactly.
So now you know who I am, what I do.
And I'm happy she gave me a chance because, I mean, we're now engaged and we have a date to get married and we're excited about it.
And I'm so happy I did that.
And I'm so happy she didn't swipe on me.
Absolutely.
And it's hard because again, going back to the culture, the Haitian culture,
I am a family person.
