And I think maybe at that point he just snapped a little bit, which was maybe indicative of the fact he was at a point where he just did have to go.
I think it was the right decision.
But I do think, you know, a lot of the stuff about him being arrogant and from my personal viewpoint has been totally off the mark.
I think you only have to go back to when Liverpool clinched the title last season and
He's on the pitch singing Jurgen Klopp's name.
I mean, what other manager, elite manager, would pay so much respect to their predecessor?
At a moment of triumph, yeah.
And I think, you know, we can sit here and debate whether, you know, how much of a role Jurgen Klopp had in that success last season in terms of building the squad.
And he, you know, Arne Slott clearly felt like he did.
But I think, you know, to take that away from Slott and solely pin it on Klopp is, you know...
again wider the mark i think so yeah i think it was a a fitting way for him to to pay for pay farewell and um i think i think like josh said it's hard to fully know where he you know where he sits in terms of the current pantheon of of top managers that are out there at the moment but i think and hopefully you know i think history will be quite kind to him
Yeah, but I think, I suppose the argument to that is that there are very few candidates in the managerial market at the moment who aren't a risk.
I think there's only probably two that you would say, which is one is probably Luis Enrique, who by all accounts is staying at PSG.
and the other one is probably Pep Guardiola who is never going to manage Liverpool unless he decides that he doesn't mind about ruining his Manchester City legacy and I think even Jurgen Klopp would be a risk because I think going back to seeing quite a few people say I'd reach out to Klopp and see if he was available and
I am very cautious about doing that because I think as much as it would be great from an emotional perspective as much as it would be you know he might be rejuvenated by two years out of the game I think you know there's a there's always a chance when you go back to a legendary manager like that that it doesn't work out and and then you you end up sort of prolonging I guess the the pining for
you know, a previous era.
So I think that there are... Someone has to be the next cab off the rank, I guess.
I think there's a reason that Manchester United are standing with Michael Carrick because I think they've probably looked and thought, well, are there that many options that we know are going to come in and guarantee us success?
I think it's the reason that Manchester City are going for Maresca.
And I think, you know, that there's enough...
