It actually reminds me, while I'm saying this, and perhaps you're going to look at me and laugh, because last time we spoke, I also mentioned I spoke to a taxi driver.
And I actually did again yesterday when I arrived.
And it was not necessarily about fraud, but I do think it was about a similar topic, which is trust.
So I was in the taxi and we're nearing the destination.
And I noticed he has a sticker on the window that says, cash is king.
And I'm like, it's getting a bit awkward.
I'm like, sorry, sir, I only have a card.
And he's like, well, don't worry, it's an opinion.
Of course, I'll take your card payment.
And then I ask him out of interest, why the sticker?
And...
He tells me a story.
Well, first he tells me to annoy the money-grabbing bankers.
He then looks at me and says, please don't tell me you're a banker, which was funny because I was like, well, it's actually the whole reason we started Bunk.
So funny you ask.
But he said, it is not about the technology.
I have nothing against the technology.
I've always had a car terminal in my taxi, but it was about the fact that he was forced to use it because I believe there was a law passed a couple of years ago
But he said, for me, it was not about the technology.
It was about control and wanting to know that whatever institution or company takes the decision, does it with my best interest in mind.
