Logically, yes.

I mean, logically, I think you want to have, you want to hire the GM and the person who could directly be the president above him in unison.
Yeah, and I do think, I'm not saying it's going to happen that way, but I do think there is a possibility here that the Canucks do end up hiring a VP as well.
And I know Shane Doan's been mentioned quite a bit as that, and it wouldn't shock me if he ends up being that individual potentially.
I don't know if it's going to happen for sure.
I don't think the priority organizationally is to get the VPN in unison with the general manager.
But if you've gone through this process, and if you can figure out who can work well with whom, and you have an idea of where to go after you hire the GM, it can still work out.
But you have to make sure that whoever you're hiring is very much on board with the general manager.
Like that.
That's the key thing here more than anything else.
And we've been burned by that misalignment in different ways in this organization in the past.
Yeah.
I do think that's a possibility.
Like I mentioned earlier this week, I think the Canucks are also using this opportunity to learn about other individuals and their strengths and weaknesses.
And if you look at the people who have been interviewed in terms of the names that have been brought up and names we've kind of heard behind the scenes, there are a lot of people with differing skill sets, whether it's on the cap, whether it's on...
Scouting whether it's on analytics and player development and player procurement in some ways as well So I think that they have talked to a lot of diverse skill sets and I would imagine once they get their GM in place that GM is gonna have an opportunity to bring at least one person in with them Usually you let somebody at least hire one right hand or some Ally in the organization Well, we saw today
