The prosecutors have said that this case would never have gotten to this courtroom if it weren't for you.

But getting to this day had been a long process through a system that the family says caused years of frustration.

Will was just 17 when his father died.

In the years since, he served in the Army, got married, and now he's chosen to be part of that very same justice system as a police officer.
