Jay is back in action.

Sandy Alcantara, who was one of the Ironmen in baseball through 225-plus innings at one point, rarely missed a start, underwent Tommy John and missed the entire 2024 season, came back last year and still in his first season back through 174 innings because you can't keep this guy off the mound.

So far this year, he's averaging well over six innings to start.

Now, an ERA of four, so this isn't quite all the way back for him, and he's never been a huge strikeout guy as far...

as ace-level guys go.

And there have been a few blips three times already this year.

He's been gotten to for six or more runs.

But the fact that he is a four-year-old tells you that on the right day, he has looked very, very good.

And he still throws 97.
