He just looks like an ace right now.
He's given up one home run in over 52 innings, right?
That's as many as Cam Schlittler, the presumptive favorite for the American League Cy Young right now, has allowed, right?
Like in every sense, he's looked like a genuine top of the rotation arm.
And, you know, the Blue Jays have desperately needed that, right?
Because not a whole lot else is going well for them right now.
They're not doing a ton offensively.
Their defense has definitely taken a step back in a meaningful way.
So right now, their path to winning game

He's like prime Hugh Darvish, where it's like you have six different weapons you can use, and you can beat guys in the zone with all of them, and you still have to be mindful of 97, 98, 99.
It's got to be just a nightmarish game.
Where did you set the qualifier?

I mean, right now he has the lowest FIP from a starting pitcher in Blue Jays franchise history.
You obviously have to expect that the home run rate is going to regress a little bit closer to the mean, but this is who he is in terms of generating strikeouts.
This is who he's always been.
And also, to your point, you can bank on health.
