A huge slap to big tech today.

They kept her endless scrolling, constant notifications, algorithms that learn exactly what keeps you watching.

I have been using grayscale for like three weeks.

And then when I look at my screen time report...

My screen time is down.

My phone time is down like 30%, which is actually more than I thought it would be.

I do notice that if I'm on socials or whatever, I'm like, none of this looks like fun.

Like, it really, nothing is popping.

And also, you know what the main thing is, is that my phone does not look like a bag of jelly beans anymore.

Like, it's really striking when you turn it back on, when you turn the color on, you're like, ooh, candy, mm, candy store.

And when you put it on grayscale, you're like, ow, it looks like I'm reading a newspaper.

So I think we should probably say out of the gate that in the U.S., you know, we've all got the right to protest.

We've got the right to peacefully assemble.

It's in the Constitution.

Mm-hmm.

And people are allowed to film stuff that's going on in public, like what police officers or ICE agents or other federal agents are doing, as long as you don't interfere with what they're up to.

Right.

So the Department of Homeland Security has said it is protecting its agents from rioters, although reports are that things are generally peaceful.
