And Navy lost my payroll records, so I couldn't go off base. I used to say to some of the guys, I had to have some civilian clothes and some money to go off base. And I'd say, can you loan me some money and your civvies so I can go on liberty? He says, I like you, man, but not that much.

So many things happened that I just come out okay. Like another time we were in a firefight in a village, Right, again, nobody's hit, nobody's done anything. Me and this dude named Pavlovich, we go into this hooch, searching for Christ knows what. And in there is one of these little tables.
