There's a lot of distractions and just a lot of, like, getting his flow to be right on opening day.
So, you know, I'd rather โ like, I have a feeling there's not going to be a problem with the fastball.
So I would hate to see the guy that's like the Pedro Serrano that can't hit any off speed.
That would be the lesser preference for me if you're asking me to give the real answer to that question.
But I don't look at it as a โ I think it's more of just an adjustment to being a professional.
If I'm looking outside in, but I didn't see all the at-bats and I can't really give an opinion that way.
Well, I expect it to be every day, Triolo and Gonzalez.
I don't expect a whole lot of anybody else starting those spots.
I think that they think that's their best combination there, and you're going to see it.
Now, lack of power, yeah, that's there.
Gonzalez has been pretty good with the bats so far.
Playing him in a position he hasn't played a whole lot of, though, which is
worrisome especially when you know you've kind of had that position locked down defensively with Brian Hayes over the years so that's a question and I think overall with it like the big question because Triolo is a great defensive player but he hasn't played a ton of shortstop you know starting shortstop in the big leagues you're winning with the pitching staff you're in a big stadium and defense might be a question here like other than catcher defense could be a question
And your risk, like, you know, I don't know how deep you want to get into Connor Griffin here, but the risk with sending him down is, like, he had a pretty good spring.
I mean, average wasn't great, limited at bats, but showed power, you know, has the excitement there.
But you send him down and, like, the worst thing that could happen is, like, it's May 15th and he's batting 170 down there.
you know, or, you know, and, and that, you know, you don't want that to happen, but like you kind of have lightning in a bottle and all this momentum right now.
So that's the one reason for it.
