I want to see him in more.

I mean, I can understand the criticism of Lau and O'Hearn being out.

Like if I'm a Pirates fan, I'm looking at this and I want to see those guys playing.

I want to try to take a series in Cincinnati and I want to come back on a three and three road trip going into opening day.

And you got schemes on the mound.

You want your horses in there.

I get all that.

But as far as Cruz goes, like I don't.

I don't have any hesitancy about putting him in there against the left-hander.

It all relates back to Bubba Chandler's fastball command, Bob.

And it got sloppy later in the outing.

And I'm not going to criticize Bubba.

I thought it was a really good outing.

And I thought...

we saw what Bubba Chandler can be when he has that fastball command.

And it looked like the same Bubba Chandler in his first couple of starts of spring.

And what happens is he gets really amped up.

And I think it's part of just being a young pro with him where he wants to throw the ball through a brick wall.

And I don't think it would be the worst thing if he just dialed it back a tad.
