When he was playing in his second year of 18U, he went up against Kirby Dock and the Fort Saskatchewan Rangers.

And he told me about how he realized he was never going to the NHL because one time Kirby was coming down on the right circle and blew it past him so fast on his right shoulder he didn't even see it.

So that was kind of the moment for him that maybe he should hang up the skates and pick up the whistle.

But I just think that's hilarious.

You see the atmosphere that's been going on around town right now and the excitement and everything like that.

But when you get to the game itself, what have you seen from that area?

yeah well i mean you think about the experience that the edmonton oilers have and and it's kind of flipped a little bit you know the edmonton oilers when they were in the 2017 series against the anaheim ducks they were a young group a young up and coming hungry group that wanted to prove themselves and you know they pushed the ducks all the way to seven a team that had ryan getzlaff corey perry jacob silverberg i mean the list of guys goes on ryan kessler remember that guy but

Just a lot of talent on that Anaheim Duck squad at the time.

And, of course, the Edmonton Oilers have mirrored that by quite a bit.

But how do you feel that the veteranship age difference, I guess you could say, differs in this one?
