Alrighty, well, as we are in the NHL playoffs, what is your take so far on how these games have been working out?
all three stairs are up top or down pretty enough i don't know how you look at it i think they're all going to be over soon but the plow hockey's been outstanding it's terrific for sure now have you caught much of of any of edmonton versus anaheim i've watched both games i went to uh For sure.
Now with the way that this series has worked out, this is a question I've actually really wanted to ask you because you come from a different era. But in the Oilers and Ducks series, we haven't seen a whole lot of physicality quite yet in that one. And I just want to ask you if it's the way the teams are or if it's something that kind of gets created as the series goes on and these two teams breed a bit of a hatred for each other.
Well, I think it usually goes through the series. It hasn't yet. So far, it's not teams. It's not vicious either. Like, they're always by the end of it. I think that will build and give more hostility and more success as we go along.
From what you've seen, does the Anaheim Ducks, who are definitely a younger core right now, obviously you jammed a much different Anaheim Ducks team, but the group that they have right now, do they look like the kind of team that could go a full seven in a series?
Yes, I think so. They're really explosive. Really good foot speed. I think they're tough enough. They're very big. The size is effective. I think they can go a full seven. I think they can win this too.
For sure. Now, goaltending has been a big factor so far in this series between Lucas Duestal and as well as Connor Ingram, of course. What's your take on both those goaltenders so far?
I think both guys will play well. I don't think both of these generations have anything to lose. For sure.
Now, obviously, we've seen the way that Connor McDavid's series has gone so far, and it's been a bit of a shock to oil country, and it's definitely been on the top docket of conversation here. Part of that, you know, can also attribute to the special teams and things like that. But from what you're seeing, what is your biggest take on why Connor hasn't quite broken through yet?
Well, I think he will. He's so dangerous. He's so much fun to watch. I think he will. Their power play is how to get going, though. But they're going to be in trouble. Everyone here just lost in game two as a fluke. But I can't believe Anaheim beat Edmonton. I don't see it that way at all. They gotta get going here. They're going to be in trouble, but I don't think counters are problem.
Yeah, for sure. Now, obviously, game three of the series, it kind of feels like a big momentum shifter. And obviously, with it tied at one game each, I mean, how big is this game tonight going to be for the Oilers?
I think the evening games are critical in every playoff series. They know it's going to be fun.
