A huge deal in Columbus. The Blue Jackets have signed forward Adam Fantilli to a 60%. 6 year contract that will pay him 13.75 million dollars per season and if you take a look at the 2023 draft first overall pick Conor Bedard he signs a I believe 5 year contract that pays him 15 million dollars a season Leo Carlson, second overall. He just signed that big ticket with Anaheim, making over $18 million per season. And now Adam Fantilli making $13.75 million per season. So the top three from the 2023 NHL Entry Draft, they are getting paid. But it makes sense. Carlson's, you know, that number one guy in Anaheim. Well, there's a few guys to mix in there as well. Fantilli, he's the 1C in Columbus. And of course, Conor Bedard, he is the captain now of the Chicago Blackhawks.

So it makes a lot of sense for him to get paid. But, yeah, so there you go. Very interesting. It's been such a weird offseason seeing these young guys get the contracts that they've been getting, but it's just the way the league is growing. You know, the cap's going to go up and up and up again over and over again every year, and by the time that these deals are done, they might look like a bargain. They might not.
