He said he's not worried about it.

Um, he says, you know, it's just something that's on a piece of paper, but like, that's where they, where we know they're downplaying it because that thing that's just on a piece of paper, that's where it almost derailed this whole thing and held it up for days.

Like this one is a bigger deal than they want to let on.

And like we said before, don't blame them for trying to downplay it.

They should try and downplay it.

You don't want to sow discord to the media.

Uh, but you know, Chris Mara said this was the biggest holdup in the contract.

Um, and you know what, like here's the reality with Joe Shane.

Cause again, from his media availability, there's not too much to take away from.

He's not the topic of the day.

He's not even the second biggest topic today.

Chris Mara is until they give him that contract extension.

He's going to be – my thoughts on his future are going to be in the front of my head for the whole offseason.

They really are.

In fact, if they decide to retain him, I would just go ahead and extend him now if they plan to keep him for at least a year.

They could still extend him and then fire him one year from now.

Obviously, you've got to pay him a bunch of money.
